PDAxtreme

I’m planning to buy an iPod Touch (4th generation) in December. I don´t have a big music and video library. I’d like to use it as a medical PDA: Reader (pdf, office…), management, medical applications (Netter, medscape…) and Browser. Is Ipod Touch 8gb enough for me? Is it the same speed as 32gb/64gb (4th generation) ones?
