I have had the Motorola Droid for about 3 weeks now. I almost returned it. Actually, I love this phone… or at least I would like to. Apart from my problem it blows me away.

My problem is that it is incompatible with Outlook so I can’t get my contacts, tasks, calendar, or old emails onto it. It will only synch with Gmail.

I have been synching contacts with Windows-Mobile/Pocket PC devices with Outlook since 1998! I have over 400 contacts in my HTC Touch Pro by Verizon and even the Verizon technicians couldn’t copy the contacts. I was horrified.

So I’ve reluctantly stopped using Outlook and get all of my email at Gmail, which is a pain of its own, but that still doesn’t get my contacts or tasks in there. I could upload my contacts to Gmail but that still isn’t an ideal solution because then all of my contacts would be moved to Gmail which doesn’t meet my needs.

I refuse to enter them all manually. It would take me forever.

I need your suggestions. Please help!
