Resolved Question: Anyone know of a device like an I-Touch but with a 7″ screen?
November 15, 2009
I had an XDA running pocket PC and used to use it to take notes, PIM (diary, email etc) as well as being a phone. Only problem was the screen size was too small. I had hoped Apple would do an A5 size I-Touch but no they won’t !!
So what I am looking for is an A5 (7″ or bigger screen) PDA like device with touch screen, handwriting recognition, Wifi, preferebly 3G with Bluetooth (enabling you to use a headset to make calls). It has to be thin (so tablets are out) keyboard not necessary as I would use handwriting recognition or a soft keyboard on the screen (ie Microsoft transcriber) and hopefully a long battery life (so ARM chip would be good)!!
The closest I have found is the Albatron Tee PC - but its not marketted yet and doesnt have all the features http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/22/albatron-intros-tee-pc-mini-tablet/
So you see I don’t want much - but if you know of a device which is available to buy please let me know
Thanks Jewels - I’ve seen this but its a bit clunky. The I-pod touch has very thin border and more screen. I’ve found some listed below. The CrunchPad looks the best fit bit isn’t marketed yet.
