Open Question: Question about Verizon cell phones?
So, I’m sure any Verizon user has dealt with the pain in the ass requirement to get a data plan if you want a nice phone. My question is, if you buy a used Verizon phone, NOT from Verizon Wireless, but you buy it from a private seller, such as an older PDA or Multimedia phone, and activate it over the internet and switch your number over to it, will they make you pay for the data plan then? Or what if a buy a discontinued phone that required a data plan when it was sold in stores, such as the recently discontinued Samsung Rogue (replaced by the Samsung Reality, very similar) will I require a data plan then? Please help! I want a decent phone without a freaking data plan.
Seriously? I need some help with this, I don’t quite understand Rocker’s answer, seeing as they make the Env Touch still and it still requires a data plan, no offense. Someone wanna help??
