PDAxtreme

I am looking at getting a Palm Treo Pro through Sprint and I am told that I need to upgrade to the Everything Data plan. I already have a Motorola Q9c and I have been on the Everything Data plan without a problem. Do I really need to upgrade my plan in order for the Treo Pro to work?
