Open Question: Where can i find the control wiring info for a Palm LCD touch screen?

July 28, 2010

I have the LCD screen from a old palm PDA intact, the rest of the PDA was DoA. I’d like to use at least the LCD portion of it for future projects but am trying to locate info on how to operate it.

Voting Question: Can I still buy a PDA like my old Palm-V?

July 26, 2010

I used to own a Palm-V and I still keep a lot of records on the desktop software that came with it. My Palm-V is long dead. I’ve even bought a few old Palm PDAs at flea markets or online, but even after obtaining new batteries for them they don’t work either. The Palm company doesn’t appear to make anything but cell phones anymore. (I have an iPhone and am not likely to switch to the Palm phone for a long time.)

Resolved Question: How much would it cost to buy a new phone with the same service? (Verizon wireless)?

July 24, 2010

My update had become available a couple of months ago, so I went ahead and quickly bought a different phone. I really did pay attention to WHAT i was buying. I just knew that it was a phone that had a camera, could text, and could make calls. (the phone, Ominia Reality, by Verizon i think) But I would love to have picked a blackberry or a droid PDA knowing that it had the useful skype that I could talked to my friends at college over my phone, and that their were all those apps avalable to use with an additional 30 dollar cost that I am willing to pay. Is there some way I can buy a new phone like that to change, even though I just had my phone update availability used? nI have a 2 year family plan. How much would I have to pay if for example, I wanted to purchase the DROID or PALM PIXI? thanks soooo much. this all is so confusing for me to grasp.
*didn’t pay attention to what i was buying.
I just relized recently that I went DOWN in quality of my picture and this makes me soooo mad :( 4.2 camera. to something in the 3.0’s. To me, the picture quality is soooo much worse then my previous en-v touch

Resolved Question: I’ve read all the Q&A’s on this Yahoo POP access, Mail Plus issue, and I’ve followed the steps suggested, but?

July 22, 2010

still cannot set up POP email access on my Palm tx PDA. My server is att.yahoo.com and my computers are Macs, so I do not have Outlook Express for the suggested “automatic interface.” I know I’m entering all the info correctly but I keep getting an “unable to connect…verify your server entry” message. I am willing to pay the $20 for Yahoo Mail Plus, if that’s what it takes, but I can’t even find a link to that, other than for extra firewall and spam protection. Does this service even still exist? I have checked all the suggested boxes in Yahoo options, but to no avail. Can anyone help me resolve this?
