Voting Question: Can I still buy a PDA like my old Palm-V?

July 27, 2010

I used to own a Palm-V and I still keep a lot of records on the desktop software that came with it. My Palm-V is long dead. I’ve even bought a few old Palm PDAs at flea markets or online, but even after obtaining new batteries for them they don’t work either. The Palm company doesn’t appear to make anything but cell phones anymore. (I have an iPhone and am not likely to switch to the Palm phone for a long time.)

Voting Question: why ebay treat separate ways to people?

July 25, 2010

i listed an auction to sell my own guide on ebay. and after an hour ebay removed it by saying this is a digital delivery item. i learned that rule and i have no problem with that. also this is the 3rd time ebay removes my auction an i won’t do it again.
my problem is this. there are lots of top rated sellers who violates this rule.

Open Question: Need PDA recs!! Help!?

July 20, 2010

I am looking to purchase a pda (basically something that can help me manage my busy life). It has to have a digital calendar and/or appointment software. I want it to have wireless internet so I can check my emails, and I would like to be able to read the occasional book on it? I don’t want it to be a cell phone at all. Does anybody know of a pda/pocket pc that does this, but costs less than $400 new?
Your recs and help would be greatly appreciated. I’m thinking about the HP Enterprise 211 or Classic, but I wanted what my other options were……if there are any! Thanks in advance for your help!
Kitty

Open Question: What is the cheapest PDA with 8 Mb RAM?

June 26, 2010

I’m running a political campaign this summer. Normally we have our volunteers go door to door and confirm votes from people by checking off on a report generated on paper. Each of these reports takes about 20 pages to print and we usually have to do 20 reports each week, so we’d rather try going paperless. It’s also less clunky. The vote tracking software we have has one system requirement and that is 8 Mb of RAM. We’d be happy with refurbs too.
