Resolved Question: What is the best electronic alternative to a checkbook?

I am considering a PDA (Palm OS 5) that syncs with my desktop. It is clear to me that having my finances in electronic form would have some real advantages. A portable device makes the most sense to me because I don’t want to use my home computer to enter every transaction. But whatever I use needs to be reliable and user friendly. Please share your experience and any recommendations. Thanks!

Voting Question: Are there prepaid smartphones? Dont use cell often enough..?

I have a Palm Tungsten and would like to upgrade to a more robust PDA. However, I also need a cell phone for emergencies and contacting the wife occasionally. I might use the phone 2-3 times a week for a total 15 minutes. So a prepaid makes sense for me. Is their a prepaid PDA/phone that is available?
Hey NoNo. Appreciate the help, the shortcut you provided doesnt work. What product are you suggesting? An unlocked phone? Will it work with Verizon?

Open Question: How can I transfer info from Palm TX PDA to Palm Pre smartphone?

I am about to get a Sprint Palm Pre, but I want to transfer all the info from my Palm TX PDA and am not sure if this is possible and how to go about it. I want to make sure this transfer is easy before purchasing the phone. If I have to start all over, I will just buy a Blackberry Tour instead. Any help is deeply appreciated!
