Acer beTouch E100 Review
“The Acer beTouch E100 is an entry-level Windows Mobile 6.5 phone. It is equipped with 2-megapixel camera, 528MHz processor, A-GPS and 3G, but lacks Wi-Fi and accelerometer. There is also a second version of the phone, the Acer beTouch E101 that comes without 3G support. Both models come in white and black color solutions and the first does look more spectacular. The cool thing is that the device comes boxed with 3 additional back panels (pink, red and green) that allow you to change its look in but a few seconds. The materials it´s made from will always remind you of the fact you´ve bought an affordable cell phone, because the manufacturer hasn’t paid the attention to details that you can notice with the Samsung OmniaLITE B7300 and HTC Touch2, the major rivals of this handset. The Acer beTouch E100 comes with 3.2-inch display that utilizes resistive technology. Its sensitivity is acceptable – the screen rarely failed to register our actions and actually, most of the problems relate to the interface of Windows Mobile 6.5. It has native resolution of 240×400 pixels, supports 65k colors and images look worn-out even in the dark. Unfortunately, the screen is totally unusable in direct sunlight, but at least you will have an almost immaculate mirror in this case. The buttons around the navigational pad aren’t raised enough, but they have pronounced travel. The interesting thing is that the pad is touch-sensitive (capacitive) and circular motions allow you to navigate throughout menus. The pad has, however, also fallen victim to the penny-pinching build-quality and its edges start collecting dust and dirt right away. Moreover, it´s not really pleasing to operate, because said edges also create annoying, discomforting feel.” Read more here:
Resolved Question: Can I get a Verizon BlackBerry 8330 (Curve) without a data plan?
I want to buy a Blackberry 8330 to replace my current phone. However, it requires some research. I’ve tried to do some on my own, but I would love some help if people can answer my questions directly.
I currently have a plan that gives me unlimited text and picture messaging, along with a select amount of minutes for calls. I do not need e-mail or internet. The reason I want a blackberry is because I like the PDA qualities it has, the layout, the battery life and I really like the keyboard on it. If possible, this is the phone that I would like to buy. However, I do not wish to purchase a data plan, either a BB data plan or a general data plan.
Resolved Question: what hand held PC to buy?
i was thinking of getting a PDA, but don’t know which one i would like to use this for making notes, appointments, tasks and post-it’s (so it has to be quick on load times) and quick web browsing in (i,e, to Google something) touch-screen would be an advantage, but a qwerty keyboard would be needed considering my need for notes. aprox. 6 hours battery time would be useful, if it could play videos would be nice but not essential.
By the way should have mentioned I don’t like apple.

Resolved Question: What is the best choice? IPhone, Blackberry, Pocket PC, Smartphone?
I am looking for one device to replace a cell phone (with bluetooth), a PDA, and Ipod. I don’t text at all and I don’t care about email. I want something that I can use to read/download ebooks, listen to music, and use as phone. My current provider is AT&T and I would like to stay with them.
Resolved Question: How do I turn off Bluetooth on my Dell XPS M140?
I tried creating a LAN with it to link it with my PDA a few months ago, which turned out to not be supported. Now there’s a PAN set up, disabled but apparently that doesn’t mean the Bluetooth itself is disabled. Ever since then, my Bluetooth light has constantly been on. Any suggestions?
Device Manager doesn’t turn off the light, so I guess it’s still running.
Resolved Question: What is a good QWERTY phone through AT&T that does not need a PDA package?
It is time to renew my contract and I am trying to decide what AT&T phone to get. I do not want to pay the extra for a PDA package as I don’t need all of that. So if you could help me pick my next phone I would really appreciate it.
My requirements are:
*QWERTY keyboard to make texting easier
*Bluetooth
*Camera
*Descent look to screen when using the internet
I just wanted to add that I did go to the local AT&T store today and the selection was horrible. There were out of the phones I was interested in and there display models were not functioning. They were simply the outer shell with a picture inside them.
Resolved Question: Searching for a good pda or pocket pc. Looking for opinions from other users.?
I am planning to buy a pda or pocket pc used from amazon because I really don’t have much money to spend and I got an amazon gift card. I need it for one main purpose so it must be able to meet this need fully and accurately. I do have other options I prefer as well. During my search I’ve come to appreciate the many things they claim to do like mp3 players, cameras, and color screens as well as possible bluetooth, but those are bells and whistles that aren’t important if the product is unreliable. So I’m asking for your honest opinion on good products and bad products to help me make my choice. I’m looking at many older models that cost less so any info is appreciated.
Main purpose: I need a scheduler and day planner with an alarm to remind me of my appointments. That also means that it will need to stay on all of the time just like my cell phone.
