Open Question: If my phone is off for a long time, will it lose its memory?
Theres something wrong with my blackberry’s charger and it wont charge. Im gonna get it fixed but its been about a week scince it lost all its bettery and turned off. Im worried it’ll lose all its memory because my mom once had a PDA and she left it without charging for a few days, then when she turned it back on she had lost all her memory.
Preview of GSM UMTS smartphone Motorola Milestone DROID
“Launching Motorola DEXT (codenamed Morrison, also know as the CLIQ in the US), Motorola had a global task in mind – they were targeting the top-tier as well with their brand-new Anroid-based line-up. The first flagship device in this range they’re releasing into the wild is the Droid, although in reality this handle is employed by Verizon Wireless for a whole plethora of phones from various manufacturers they are distributing, for example, they’ll launch an HTC-branded device as “Droid” too. In Europe, though, we’ll know it as the Motorola Milestone (its original codename was Sholes), which is a very fitting name, as it’ll mark either the rebirth of the company or its complete fiasco.” Read more here:

Open Question: do you have to pay to surf the web/check email on the ipod touch?
I don’t understand. This is all new to me. When you have a cell phone or a ipod touch that can check email at a WiFi location how do you connect to it ? I mean, do you have to pay for that service? I was told that with a WiFi laptop or cell phone or palm or pda or whatever thing you using that you can buy airtime cards or something or some kind of 3G card that lets you get on the internet? I don’t understand any of this. how do you pay for it, who do you pay, and how much does it cost?
I have the internet at home through my cable company, so I pay them to have the internet. So I dont understand when you go to a coffee shop forexample, and you have a lap top or a Ipod touch, who do you pay to get on the internet?
I hope this makes sense to someone out there… I know I sound stupid… I’m not stupid but I am old school.
