Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a leading mobile phone provider, today announced a firmware update to the Samsung I8910 HD (OMNIAHD, GT-I8910) to further improve the speed of multimedia performance and add new functionality to the device. I’m an AT&T customer, own a Palm Centro and an iMac desktop computer. I like the Palm, but the controls are small and not all my data syncs up through the pitiful Palm Desktop software. I am considering the iPhone because of the larger on-screen buttons, better sync features and the ability to play music, but I’ll use it mostly to–duh–make telephone calls, keep appointment and keep track of customer contact information. I don’t plan to spend all day on FaceBook or Twitter, probably won’t download any movies from iTunes or use the GPS.

Sooooo, what should I buy? 8GB, 16GB or 32GB? Refurbished? Any special apps I should consider when using the iPhone as a PDA? Thanks.
