I’m very frustrated – I’m 28 and and suffer from memory problems equal to that of a much, much older person. I literally forget things right after I’m told them and have to write everything down – but often forget where I put the paper I wrote the information down on, or that I even wrote a reminder down at all. I try to use my PDA, but I forget to check it and have to have my phone on silent while I’m at work. I use a desktop calendar, but I end up writing so much on it that it gets over crowded and I often forget to check it! I’m really struggling here!!! I eat fish (catfish) many times a week to try and improve my memory.. I don’t smoke or drink, and to be honest I’m an intelligent person, I just forget things and I don’t even mean to…. please help, I’m REALLY struggling! I recently lost a job where my memory problems severely contributed to such loss.
My biggest struggle is remembering things that fall into sequence. For example: “do this, and after you do, file it, log it into the database, etc, etc, etc” something like that I will struggle with, big time! I have ADD and have been clinically diagnosed with it and have struggled with it since childhood – but I’m not on medication for it – I don’t know if that could be contributing.
