Open Question: Blackberry or PDA, which is best?

I want to change my I-phone and I don’t know whether to buy a Blackberry or a PDA. Which one would you recommend (based on experience, of course, what are their pro’s and con’s). I’ve heard that the Blackberry Storm isn’t bad.
Which is the best model?
Bb or other PDA*

Skype no longer offer Windows Mobile Version

Wondering why you couldn’t download the Skype for Windows Mobile from the company website? Skype has confirmed that it will no longer offer Skype for Windows Mobile, as it felt that the version is not offering the best user experience compare to Symbian and iPhone version. The company has posted a faq says, “We’ve chosen to withdraw Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile because we want to offer our new customers an improved mobile experience – much like the version that has proved so popular on the iPhone, and which is now available on Symbian phones. Our focus is on providing a rich user experience that allows you to enjoy free Skype-to-Skype and low cost calls as easily on the move as you do at your desktop. We felt that Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile were not offering the best possible Skype experience.” You will still be able to use the Skype service with your windows mobile smartphone if you have already installed though. You can also access the windows mobile download page manually by using the following URL http://www.skype.com/intl/en/download/skype/windowsmobile/” via slashphone.com

Resolved Question: How do you get around Verizons $30 data plan requirement?

Verizon claims that their PDA phones simply will not function without the full data plan ($29.99). Now I fully realize that no data plan, no featuers, but there are times that all I need is the basic phone function. Verizon, like the others allows unlimited changing of data plans with the lesser phones but they claim the PDA phones (Droids, BBerrys, Palms) must have the full data plan even to function. Of course they don’t tell you everything..\

Please no company line answers like,”why do you want the phone if you don’t want data with it?,” or “you shouldn’t have signed the contract if you didnt want the data plan.” I have my personal reasons for doing it this way..
There is a way to get around it and if you don’t know, then please don’t respond.
