Open Question: Is it time to replace my PC’s liquid cooling?

I got my computer from CyberPowerPC 2 years ago and ordered it with CPU liquid cooling, forgot which brand. Occasionally, the computer shuts down when playing games, but it’s been doing that more often now, even after half an hour of low-end games like Halo: Combat Evolved. I cleaned most of the dust off of the liquid pump and the video card fan, but the temps stay around the same. After just surfing the web for a few hours, RivaTuner shows my 8800GT temp at 53C at 70% fan RPM and Speedfan shows my CPU core temps around 40C. I notice that the transparent liquid cooling tubes are not completely full, with some air pockets. Is this normal? And I have a feeling that my computer is shutting down on me at just around 60C for my 8800GT or my CPU. Is there any way to increase the threshold?

Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz (Stock speed)
2 GB DDR2 RAM
EVGA 8800GT 512MB

Open Question: Video Cards: 128bit versus 256bit, SLI, Crossfire, etc. Help please!?

I know this concept holds true with hard drives in raid0.

Basically I am wondering if I should pick up 2x:
