Resolved Question: Blackberry data plan help?
I just want a blackberry.
Either 9000 or 9700
It’s the best PDA that I like out there.
I’ve been on the computer for a couple hours searching for the “perfect phone.”
None of the other phones caught my eye like this one.
I like the look and feel of it.
It requires a data plan with the purchase.
All I’m concerned for is the texting part.
I don’t want data.
Is it possible to cancel data after a month or two of having it?
Or is it similar to the iPhone?
(Where you need data for your phone to have service of any kind)
Voting Question: Can I use AT&T’s $15.00 Unlimited Data Plan with a smartphone/PDA?
I have an unlocked Nokia E72 Smartphone that I want to get the simple $39.99 plan with AT&T. Do you think I can just add the $15.00 Unlimited Data Plan they offer and use it with this, if (of course) I just get a regular phone at first and then pop the SIM into the E72 after I leave the store?? Trying to avoid $30 plan they specifically have for Blackberry’s, iPhones, and Smartphones. Any work-arounds or other carries would be great too…
Open Question: What’s a really durable and easy to use Verizon Wireless cell phone?
My plan is up for renewal, and I’ve been looking into Blackberrys and Palms and even the Kin. I really would like a PDA phone, but if my dad decides the $30 internet charge is too much, I can get the simple multimedia phones where its only $10 a month. Those are like the EnV3 and Rouge and stuff. DO NOT RECOMMEND THE ENVTOUCH! I had it for a week and had to give it back, it was TERRIBLE. So i’d like to know what phones I should look into.
I’m leaning towards a Blackberry
Something without a FULL touch screen
QWERTY keyboard
Relatively good camera quality
Thanks

Video: Blackberry 9800 Shows Up Again
“The upcoming 9800 Blackberry Slider that we’ve all being seeing so much of late has made another appearance, this time in a pretty sweet little hands-on video. The video covers pretty much all the basics of using the device and is a nice intro to what you can expect from this handset. Keep an eye out for the web browser being used, some multi-touch gestures in use there although the whole thing seems a bit jittery, but then this probably isn;t a final release model. Take a look whilst you can because there’s a fair chance RIM might want to pull this video before too long. Oh and notice the splash screen at the start of the video … AT&T.” via mobile-review.com

Open Question: Using PDA as wireless keyboard?
I have a Dell Axim X51V Windows Mobile 5. I was wondering if it was possible to be able to type on the device and have it send text to another computer.
Example:
Use PDA as keyboard. Have a program that sends keystrokes to a computer. Like a remote keyboard.
