First Symbian^2 phones ship in Japan
“The Symbian Foundation today announced the Symbian^2 platform is being used in four of the seven Symbian based handsets announced by NTT DoCoMo a few weeks ago. The F-07B (Fujitsu) went on sale on May 21st; it features a dual orientation screen (swivels from portrait to landscape) and a 12 megapixel camera. The SH-07B (Sharp) went on sale a week later; it features a 12 megapixel camera with full HD video recording and is partially waterproof. The F06-B and F-08B will go on sale later in June. These are the first Symbian^2 handsets to ship worldwide. NTT DoCoMo, Sharp and Fujitsu are using Symbian^2 with a customised UI layer (known as MOAP). The platform, effectively a variant specialised for the Japanese market, is developed co-operatively between NTT DoCoMo, Fujitsu and Sharp. These phones are ‘locked-down’ compared to smartphones in the rest of the world, but, as their specification suggest, are cutting edge in their home market. Other Symbian manufacturers, such as Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson, decided not to productise (use) Symbian^2 and are instead going straight to Symbian^3 from Symbian^1.” Read more here:

Open Question: Palm Treo 650 Question?
I just bought a Verizon Palm Treo 650, and went to activate it on Verizon because that’s my cell phone carrier. It said right as I was about to activate it, that if I wanted to activate it I was going to have to add on unlimited web and email access to our plan for $45 a month, and there is no way I am going to pay that. Is there any way to get around that, or do I just need to stick with my current phone, and use this as only a PDA? Also, where can I get the software that allows you to download and put apps onto it from the computer?
Resolved Question: Assassin’s Creed 1 pick pocket problem?
Hello guys I recently got Assassin’s Creed one and two for the pc. I am playing number one
right now and am at the beginning in Memory Block 2. At the part where I am supposed to
pick pocket the basket weaver I keep facing a problem. The instructions tell me to press
Shift once and then hold it. But every time I do Altiar stretches out his hand and nothing happens. If I keep pressing shift then I get caught and chased and have to start all over again. Can someone please help me by explaining what I am doing wrong or how to properly input the button’s to make this work. Thanks for all of the help in advance.
Open Question: How to extend the IR range on a pocket pc & boost/repair the wifi Receiver on a pocket pc?
1. My pocket pc’s wifi has a issue, that unless it is within 3 feet of the modem/access point it can’t pick it up
2. I have one of the programs for pocket pcs that act it is a TV remote, but again the range is very short, for the IR it is like 1-1 1/2 feet is as far as it can send out.
I have a Hp Ipaq hx2795(b) if anyone can solve the WiFi or both 10pts for them.
Open Question: IMac screen is dark (brightness on FULL, auto-dim OFF)?
My iMac is a little more than 1 year old. Right now, the screen is darker than it used to be. It’s not unusable, but it’s annoying. As stated, auto-dim feature is disabled, and brightness is all the way up, but the problem persists.
I noticed this problem first when I was looking at a picture of someone wearing a dark sweater, and I couldn’t see any of the details in it, like pockets, wrinkles. I tried again, using another (same model) iMac, and my PC laptop, and could see the details fine. My screen was not always like this, and I would be really happy to find the solution.
Not sure if it is relevant, but at one point, I noticed the screen went back to normal brightness, but the next time I turned it on, it was dark again.
