I have some very old ancient PDA, and for the 4th time had it exchanged.

I had to call customer service, and basically they allowed an early 2-year upgrade over the phone..
and they sold me a Samsung Saga, retail $450 for $65, and added the $30/month data plan.

So now, my next bill is going to be the
$40 rate plan + $30 data plan +$5 text + $7 insurance + $65 new phone.
= $147 for next month.

I am currently on a individual calling plan that I am not enjoying. I don’t use the calling minutes and I always go over my texts and it costs too much for me to handle. So I remembered seeing a Nationwide Messaging Plan and thought I would look at it. I wanted the $34.99 one not the Blackberry and PDA Smartphone $54.99 one. I liked it, it seemed affordable but then some confusion came up.
#1 Verizon states that when you get this plan, they want a letter indicating that you are indeed hard at hearing but at the bottom it says
“No eligibility is required for the $34.99 Consumer plan” which is the one I wanted but I don’t know if that is indeed the same plan I’m talking about.
#2 I never used my calling minutes because all the people I called were verizon, so with this Nationwide Messaging Plan I know I have unlimited texting to anyone, but do I still have m2m calling?

Any opinions of this plan or a plan more affordable would also be appreciated

I have an old HP IPAQ h5550 PDA. I’m unsure if the charge is getting to the battery correctly or if the phone just not realizing the battery to be charged because it’s too dead. I’ve had the battery on a slow USB charge for almost 24 hours and the battery reads 2V, but the multimeter reading will drop quickly if I keep it connected. The battery is a 3.7V Lithium Polymer (LIPO) and has 5 contacts at the top (see Link below for picture). I do have a good battery. Using my multimeter on the good battery (numbering the contacts from left to right 1-5 using the picture) #1 is NEGATIVE and #2 Is POSITIVE= 3.7V. Secondly #2 POSITIVE and #5 also makes 3.7V. I can’t get any readings of any value using contacts #3 & #4. That battery works fine though.
My other batteries have gone totally dead. The PDA won’t turn on at all unless it has at least 3V charge in the battery. I tested the factory PDA charger with my multimeter and it has its 5V output. When using the AC charger I get a minimal charge as a result. The AC charger is rated at “5V 2000mA.” I highly doubt the AC charger turns off the charging when a full charge is reached, but the phone itself may regulate the charge and stop the charge from reaching the battery once full charge is reached.
Here’s my question. The manual says the battery will charge in as little as 4 hours. Can I use any 5V AC adapter and hook it up with the positive feed on contact #2 and the negative contact going to #1 and #5? Will it be okay if I run the one Negative to both the #1 and #5 contact on the battery? I figured I would try charging it that way for a few hours and then test it with my multimeter. Once I reach 3V I can see if the phone will turn on so I can monitor it’s progress.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 and a half years…we share everything and we’re each others only friend. we have been through so much together…and have recently gone from living together alone..to living at my parents house…and he no longer uses his car because it’s broken (which his father would help fix) so he uses my car and I feel so trapped here…
My boyfriend has never been really affectionate or romantic, but lately (the past year or so) I’ve been telling him I need and desire more affection and romance…
I’ve given subtle hints and have even told him out right many times, and it’s been the subject of many arguments, but no avail…
Lately he seems to be more distant…he doesn’t look at me, touch me, kiss me…but he swears he loves me…
Our sex life has even hit a deep lull…whenever we talk about this he replies; “every time I’ve tried tinitiatete sex, you shoot me down…I cant initiate it anymore…” but I can only recall one time where I’ve said no…I’ve tried to initiate it, but it seems weird to be a woman begging for sex…
every day I think of little romantic things I could do for him, but rememberer the times in the past when Ive left notes and such and the don’tseem to have any effect on him so I give up…
Video games seem more important to him then me…i have to take the back seat and wait for him to finnish a level before he can even talk to me…
don’t know what to do…people confuse him to be my brother even…
I cannot remember the last time we even made out…
I find myself looking at other guys and how they treat their girlfriends and fantasize about being with them, but my boyfriend is the only person I want..
He works as an EMT so his job is stressful and he’s often tired…I understand, but I atleast expect him to hold my hand or kiss me…not to blow me off completely…
I need affection and romance and the fact don’t get it from him has depressed me over the past months and it stings me to my core…
I ask him to surprise me and hope some romantic idea will strike him, but he thinks since we’re tight on cash theres nothing he can do…but i think some of the most romantic things cost no money at all…and i suggested that he use the internet to find ideas…but nothing…
He doesn’t even compliment me anymore…and in public its like pulling teeth to try and get him to hold my hand…I just want to feel like im his territory and PDA displays just that…
I told him wasn’t feeling well today and he acted so indifferent…I dont think he’s telling the complete truth when he says he loves me…
I want our relationship to work and he says he does too…but I cannot compromise on my need for reassurance of love, affection and romance…
I feel so lost and hurt…I dont know how much longer I can take this…I dont know what to do..

Well my brother first told me he was gay at the beginning of summer. I kind of saw it coming,because he was showing a few signs, anyways. He promised me not to tell our parents, because we come from a VERY religious family, and they would never tolerate such a thing, my dad would disown him in a minuet. I am the only one that knows, because if he where to tell his friends or anyone at school, it would ruin his “precious reputation”, he’s known for being really good with girls. So he and his best friend are “dating” I guess you can say, and it just really grosses me out, the things they do. They kiss, make out, have “sex”, and act all lovey dovey together. It makes me sick to my stomach. They have the relationship that a man and woman should have together, I can’t exactly how it is, but they supposedly really care for each other. My brother told me that he Truly has feelings for him, and I just look at him in disgust when he tells me these things. They have too much PDA. The only time they ever get close, is when my dad is not home. Otherwise, if he isn’t home they are all over each other. His room is right next to mine, so I can HEAR them. It’s really gross, and it traumatizes my mind with impure thoughts. On top of how gross it is, it kind of makes me mad. I guess because I don’t really agree with same-sex couples, and it just isn’t normal. The way they act is not how two boys are supposed to be acting towards each other, I mean a year ago, this guy was his best friend, the guy he could tell anything, crack jokes with, drink with, flirt with girls, etc. But it was all just a little game I guess. Another thing that is weird, is I used to have the biggest crush on his friend, but he never seemed interested so I got over it, but now he is with my brother…. seriously with my brother. It is just wrong on so many levels. Sexual intimacy, commitment, it is really awkward. I used to pretend like I was happy for him, but I knew I couldn’t pretend for much longer, it’s just how I Truly feel, and it Truly makes me want to vomit. I was thinking about telling both my mom and dad, but that would be really dramatic, and I don’t wnat to get involved. It just makes me feel weird. What should I do?

@quiet storm- he and his “boyfriend” are both 16, I am only 14, so i have some type of right to feel grossed out.

I’m trying to name the PDA-like devices in my game design project for my portfolio, but I’m a little stuck. They contain a person’s bio, skills list, likes, dislikes, inventory detail, journal, abilities, equipment, statistics, etc. Sort of a handheld device about the size of an iPhone, and when activated, a hologram screen appears for typing, sort of like a laptop.
