Just a note to Gigapan users and afficinados, I've created a Gigipan users Group on Facebook. I've added links to these 4 tutorials as well as to the Gigapan web sites

I'd sure like to get my hands on one to record scenes from the Edmonton Indy Car Race, July 24-26. I'll have full access to all the venues.

I don't see the advantage of this other than "Set It & Forget It".I prefer composing my series of shots manually, especially if you have moving objects like people in an urban setting.

I've just discovered the Gigapan through slashdot (which was a couple of years late as usual). This could be a very, very sweet alternative to large format film photography for me. Even if the system is fairly heavy it'll still be better than carrying around a 10kg field camera!

nice set of videos!I am a fan of the gigapan, even tried to make my own before gigapan existed. Are you part of the beta team or production? I asked to be part of the beta team but never got an email so I guess I wasn't selected. Pretty cool though.. can't wait for it to be on sale.click on my name and see a video of the monstrosity that I created...
