Off the top of my head here are a few thoughts walk through an area saturated with nerve gas or radioactive fallout climb down the side of an active volcano to get samples/readings or hiking a mountain on mars basically anything else organic things don't particularly enjoy having to do.

This is scary and cool at the same time

It can get shot, and won't show fear. It's also smaller than a horse, and could probably have weapons mounted on it.

First step in total human obliteration, .5/4 there!

Sexy legs for a robotic bug...Probably look great in nylons.

Impressive, and a bit scary at the same time... In the future, Terminators will have attack dogs...
shairaptor (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
a horse WOULD know where to go just as dogs, they have a great sense of orientation.as for this shit, we do not need scary creepy robots! looks cgi too! away with that *g*

Well the point of it is probably bringing things from one place to another, probably using GPS. A horse wouldn't know where to go alone. As for the noise, do you think people would hear it in the middle of a battlefield? And that's probably something they're working on anyways. This isn't the finished product. |
