He connected it to a 3.6 volt power source. If you don't have one, you can make one with 3 rechargable 1.2 volt batteries, hooked in series. I used 3 AAA bateries and I could tape them and they fit into the back of the unit,w/out the cover.

i didn't have a battery for it when i made the video.those 2 wires are connected to a batteryholder with two 1,2V AA rechargable batteries.when you have that PDA lying in front of you with the display facing down, the battery connectors are (from left to right)positive, Temp/charging, negativei just connected the selfmade battery pack to + and -. you won't be able to power it up on batteries, but when its connected to the AC Adaptor it will turn on.

hello there! this seems promising, thanks for posting, but how exactly did you turn it on with no battery?where are those cables connected to? a voltimeter? since i don't have one, is is enough to just short-circuit the - and the + or the + and the inverted T? or what?

I have recently bought a casio e100 on ebay. It wouldn't power on, so I tried this. I still can't get it to turn on. Do you think its the battery? What did you hook the battery prongs in the device to make it work? a Voltmeter? Thanks!

I still have one of those E 100s. The real downer is tha BAT lasts six to eight months at best and you cant pick one up at the corner store. If you can get one to run on Energizers let me know.

I tried it and it didn't work. Fuck it, I give up. Thanks man.
AstrumSol (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Thanks a lot, man. I'm gonna try that right now. I got lots of free time.
