Nikon D90 is a brilliant camera and a lot of what it can do is not always apparent. But have a look at my music video I shot with this camera.

How can you even attempt to compare DSLRs with standard digital cameras? Yes you may shoot a few macro pics with some more expensive regular cameras, but they will be nowhere nearly as high quality as a close up you'd shoot even with the crappiest of DSLRs.

DSLR's have a disadvantage over digital cameras. lets say if you were to make a macro photo shoot with a DSLR you need to buy a dedicated macro lens where as on digital cameras you won't need to buy macro lenses due to the fact that, digital cameras have macro modes which is achieved trough software and the second point is that digital cameras won't let you change the lens.

Its a SDSLR!!! all the zoom and the macro and stuff depend on the type of lens you put on it!!!

The lens looks like the standard 18-105mm kit it comes with. Got one today. The video mode is nice to have but not a necessity.
