Doom 3 tried to make it too heroic in my opinion, in the originals the guy just seemed pissed off.

Because its unique. Aliens have been done. Hell on earth has been done.It also adds to the feeling that you are completely abandoned. If you're in the woods, you can still drive to the city when day breaks. But if you're on mars, there's no going home. You're stuck in a facility until rescue comes or you die. Its complete isolation while hell is being unleashed.

I just got this game, but when I start it up the ID trailer plays, fine, then some weird orange planet pops up onj the screen spinning very slow and the Doom theme plays. wtf?Can someone please help me?
