Clips from a BBC documentary explaining the arguments from the 1920's until now as to whether electrons are particles, waves or both.It outlines Einstein's distaste at Heisenberg's uncertainty principle and is a good starting point in realising that the universe is far, far stranger than can be imagined.Formerly on thingsihaveseen

That's if our civilization stays protected from the extreme conditions that erased the amazingly advanced civilizations of the past. Let's face it, when nature decides to surprise us, there's very little we can do to help our selves.

Im sure science has its share of hoaxes. But like I said, I agree with you, our science is still very primitive. It won't be for another couple of decades until we see the true potential of our science. All the good stuff is still in its infancy (like nanotechnology). The stuff we are going to be able to do in a mere 15 years will be awe inspiring in itself; not to mention a century from now. My only hope is that we eradicate our primitive perception of dog eat dog before this time

A little of both. The moon hoax is nothing more than peoples misunderstanding of photography of an unfamiliar 3 dimensional world. As our technology currently stands...we could go to mars. We just need to apply some of it in different ways. The final straw is always money. Its why space missions usually have scheduled deadlines. To send a human prematurely to mars is unethical...but not impossible.
