It's not the voltage, a car motor needs amps. A typical battery can provide about 500+ amps but only like 12V.I did this just for the gameboy...I don't have a way to get to work, but who cares, I have a gameboy.

This video it so funny! I love how they reference the old Game Boy because I remember how many batteries I went through 15 years ago while playing it. (I probably used more batteries on that old school Game Boy than any other device in my life - NO JOKE)

I opened my car battery but all that came out was 12 volts! Well... there not there any more.
